Lot Essay

According to Sabin this edition is the most complete one, "the highly curious portraits of the principal Spaniards who had conquered or governed Chile, are not in the Italian edition. The leaf proceeding the title is generally wanting, it not being known in more than two or three copies." The Italian and Spanish edition both have been printed in 1646 in Rome.
