Bounty's 23ft. carvel built launch (1789) built by R.Phillips as in full size practise with full framing, bottom boards, thwarts, unstepped masts and bowsprit, aft davits with sheaves, tiller and rudder and amidships mounted oars as part of the stand, finished in black and varnish and mounted on a mahogany display base. Note: Captain William Bligh and eighteen men were cast adrift by Fletcher Christian. Bligh sailed 3694 miles in 46 days - the longest voyage ever made in an open boat.
