A fine "Paisley" shawl woven with an ivory wool centre invaded by garlands of foliage forming a heart shape at one end, with a central stellar medallion, the main border with three pairs of facing cones with three others, all infilled with vegetation--56 x 116in. (140 x 290cm.), circa 1840, probably French
