A mid 18th century Dutch christening spoon,
with a cast and pierced stem, the terminal in the form of a cow on crossed knives, (possibly a leather worker's guild), the reverse of the bowl inscribed "Reinder Fredriks is gerboren D 22 Augustus A 1740", unmarked, circa 1740 - 17cm long; together with an 18th century Danish spoon with a cast mask and scroll finial and a ribbed stem, by Eiler Mortensen, Copenhagen, circa 1760, (date number partially showing) - 17cm long, 3.5oz.
