An unusual George III cast strainer serving spoon,
with the oval scroll shell bowl with a wavy border and matted husks on the reverse, heightened with chasing, the tapering stem reeded and decorated in relief with debased foliage on the reverse and laurel sprigs on the front, terminating in a massive lion mask and foliate finial with a vacant cartouche on the reverse, marks pierced, except date letter, London, 1774 - 31.75cm long, 9oz.
