The drum-shaped case modelled with drapery swags and surmounted by the figure of a classical maiden (one leg lacking), supported by four seated griffins, on rectangular base with gilt-bronze relief panel to the front depicting cavorting amorini, on milled toupie feet, the white enamel Arabic dial with steel moon hands (one lacking), the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell -- 17in. (43.5cm.) high
