The case with flambeau urn finial on a concave-moulded pedestal above the drum-head movement with later white enamel dial with blued steel hands, the foliate cast concave-moulded clock base flanked by gilt-bronze and white garnet set flowering urns within a balustrade, the base fronted with an automaton scene with sailing ships on twisted glass simulating water passing in front of a painted landscape, the twin barrel movement with strike on bell and stamp on backplate for Marti & Cie., the musical chain fusee movement in the base playing on six bells via a pinned cylinder; case, dial and both movements composite -- 25in. (64cm.) high
