A pair of large baluster vases and covers painted and gilt with birds in flight and perched amongst wisteria on burnt orange grounds, the necks and feet with shaped panels of stylised flowerheads and stiff leaves -- 19¾in. (50.2cm.) high, signed Dai Nippon Taizan sei, (one with cover rivetted, some restoration.)
