The fourteen images which are titled in ink on the mounts are by Samuel Bourne and several are rare early subjects including six Himalayan views titled 'Himalayan Deo-dars. The larger one 36ft. in circumference', 'View on the Sutlej' (2), 'View on the Sutlej at Wangtu', and 'The Wanga Valley' (2); a view of Simla as seen from Jako, 'Bungalow at Chini', 'Officers & men of the 23rd Panjab N.I. (Pioneers) at Tarenda' and two views of Lahore. Also including group portraits of the Council of India by Saché and 'The Lieut. Gov. of the Panjab (Sir R. Montgomery) in his Camel Equipage'.
