Album containing 127 gelatin silver prints, sizes approx. 3 x 4 in. to 9 x 11½ in. or the reverse, several trimmed to oval, variously mounted on grey album leaves, titled in white ink on mounts, dark purple half calf, titled and with decorative border in gilt on front cover, oblong 4to.

An interesting album documenting the welcoming reception of the King of Siam after his second European tour in 1908. Images include a large oval portrait of the King (illus.), his arrival at Chantoboon and the reception at Krat, the royal salute from the ships in the harbour, the landing at Bangkok, the King entering the Royal Palace, portraits of the King at What Phra Keo; several images of the decorative arches erected by the War Office, the Foreign Office, the Ministry of the Interior, the Cadet College, and the departments of Agriculture, Finance, Education and Public Works; a group portrait of 'the Committee', two images of the King entering the Review Ground and several views of the sports including an elephant and pony fight; the arrival of the King at Ayuthia and an image of the King making his speech.
