Born in Barcelona in 1940, Colita went to Paris in 1964 to study French civilisation at the Sorbonne. She was familiar with the work of Spanish photographers Oriol Maspons and Xavier Miserachs and this led to her own involvement in photography. In 35 years of practising photography professionally, specialising in photographing the city of Barcelona and it's people, Colita has had more than 40 exhibitions and has her work published in more than 25 books.
