A LARGE CYPRIOT BICHROME WARE POTTERY AMPHORA, the footed bulbous body with twin loop handles, cylindrical neck and horizontal rim, the body decorated with dark brown encircling bands and a wavy line, the shoulder with chequerboard triangles and red zigzags between parallel lines, the neck with brown and red bands and panels with chequerboard, zigzags and swastikas, the rim with short brush strokes -- 22½ in. (57.2 cm.) high, Iron Age, 8th-7th Century B.C.
