The folding strip in this box is unusually long (over four metres), and is made up of four styles of panel. The first style of 32 panels, has titles in English (above) and German (below) in italics, the second, of 12 panels, is titled with German text (below) in italics, the third, of 28 panels, has English (above) and German (below) titles in upper case Roman characters, and the fourth, of 28 panels, has German (above) and English (below) titles in Roman text. The variation in styles is probably due in part to Bauer's publication of material in English, French and German. It is also possible that certain panels were out of stock, so other panels were substituted for them. Cf. lot MGLS 13, a Bauer folding globe with concertina character strip, which also has a different style of panel inserted.
