A near identical mahogany hallstool stamped by James Shoolbred & Co. sold Christie's King Street, 6th February 1997, lot 52. A pair of hallstools of the same model were sold in the same sale, lot 54; and two further single oak stools were sold Christie's King Street, 6th June 1996, lots 29 and 63.
