Two Royal Worcester Japonaiesrie 'Chess player' vases
designed by James Hadley, in the form of brush pots, each pierced and moulded with three seated scholars around a board and another with a fan below gnarled pine, the reverse with a standing man and boy, enriched in matt colours and gilt, shaped 323, impressed marks, circa 1873 -- 15.5cm. high
