(8.9cm.) long extended; a two-draw gilt-Sheffield 1½-inch monocular with ivory outer body-tube and eyepiece surround, in silk-lined decorated leather case -- 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.) long; and a pair of French gilt-brass opera glasses with enamelled extending handle, body-tubes and mother-of-pearl eyepieces, the bridge piece engraved Colmont Paris
