signed on the eyepiece surrounds BAUTAIN A PARIS FABt BREVETÉ S.G.D.G., the body-tubes constructed of spring coil, gilded and adjusted by double-rack action, the axis mounted on twin gilt and tortoiseshell supports, the object lenses 1¾ins. (4.5cm.) dia., the glasses 5¼in. (13.3cm.) long fully extended (old fatigue cracking and some ivory loss)
