An unusual 18th-Century brass horizontal dial, unsigned, with engraved circle divided in four quadrants, folding flap engraved on one side with the zodiac calendar, the other side with lines for hours, the horizontal plate similarly engraved and with folding gnomon with scroll shaped border -- 3 7/8in. (9.8cm.) dia.
