signed on the stand JAs SMITH LONDON, No. 94, with rack and pinion coarse and micrometer fine focusing, the body-tube located on a curved limb, the shaped axis raised on twin tapering columns and incorporating the sliding mechanical stage operated by ball and socket lever, the lower limb with plano-concave mirror, with a comprehensive set of accessories including a double nose-piece, additional sub-stage assembly, bull's-eye condenser for limb mounting, two objectives, eyepieces, live-box, analyser and other items, with additional standing bull's-eye condenser, five drawers of slides and drawer of slide-making accessories, in fitted mahogany carrying case with brass handle -- 19½in.
