A 19th-Century lacquered-brass Culpeper-type compound monocular microscope, unsigned, with rack and pinion focusing, the circular stage united with the mahogany plinth base by scroll supports, the base with swivel mirror and accessory drawer containing a set of five numbered objectives, a talc box, ivory sliders, a bull's-eye condenser, frog plate, sprung stage, live-box and other items, contained in a pyramid-shaped mahogany case with acorn finial -- 17½in.
