signed on the stand CARPENTER AND WESTLEY 24, Regent Street, LONDON, with rack and pinion focusing, the body-tube supported on a shaped limb set at an angle from the tapering vertical pillar support incorporating a stage, with articulated bull's-eye condenser, the lower limb with plano-concave mirror, with an extensive range of accessories, including objectives, lieberkuhn, eyepieces, forceps, live-box, a range of slides, including a leather container with six mahogany sliders, the specimens inscribed with details on the underside, with bull's-eye condenser stand, contained in a mahogany case with brass carrying handle inscribed WCR and dated 1851 -- 18½in. (47cm.) high
