signed on the stand B. COOKE & SON, Opticians HULL. No. 144, with rack and pinion coarse focusing, fine adjustment, sliding prism, rotating triple objective turret, circular stage with mechanical adjustment by rack and pinion gearing, sub-stage condenser with rotating wheel and rack and pinion fine gearing, the axis and body limb supported on two crescent-shaped uprights, with a Ross 1-inch objective, various other eyepieces, objectives, bull's-eye condenser, live-box, prism attachment with two filters and other items, in fitted mahogany case with brass carrying handle -- 17¾in. (45.1cm.) high
