A silver and tortoiseshell pair cased verge pocket watch, Markwick, London, 521, late 17th Century,
later white enamel dial with Roman numerals and outer Arabic five minutes, signed and numbered gilt fusee movement with Egyptian pillars, pierced and chased balance cock decorated with birds and foliate scrolls, small wings, irregular edge to pierced foliate foot, plain inner case numbered 521 and with casemaker's initials WF, outer case overlaid with tortoiseshell and with decorative pique work, diameter 53mm.
