Lot Essay

First published in 1680, as a contrast to the first part of Pilgrim's Progress. Two issues of the second edition followed in 1685 and 1688, and there was a third edition in 1696. The only 18th century issues in addition to the present one, recorded in ESTC, are a Glasgow edition of 1772, and 2 Welsh language editions of 1731 and 1782. ESTCm records only one copy of the 1774 edition in the British Isles (BL), and 3 in North America.
