Lot Essay

The first named work contains a tipped-in 3-page A.L.S. by the author, 16°, dated "May 19th" [n.y.] addressed to Edmund Ollier, the publisher. Hunt asks if the Letters of George Selwyn are genuine, whether the publisher will send him a signed volume and tells how Lord Leigh has kindly helped him through his "pass of anguish" by cashing a cheque for him.
