Lafayette , the leaf painted with three scenes: Premiere experience du parachute par Sebatien Lenormand; Mongolfiere lancee a Versailles 19 Sept. 1783; and Descente de Jacques Garnerin en parachute le 22 Octobre 1797, two smaller oval vignettes of a lady and a gentleman viewing MM Charles & Robert's balloon from mica windows (one lacks most of the mica); two small circular vignettes of balloons, with gauze insertions framed with sequins, the ivory sticks pierced and painted with six further balloons - 8in. (21cm.), circa 1890 (slight wear)
