An ivory and lacquer rectangular kodansu
with silver mounts and carrying handle, carved with panels of figures playing musical instruments and at other activities in gardens among trees and rockwork, the top with the Three Wise Monkeys, all within floral borders, the lacquer interior decorated in togidashi and nashiji with flowerheads, fitted with three drawers -- 6.in (15.2cm) long, (door loose, minor damages).
