A large Kakiemon foliate rimmed bowl
painted and gilt to the centre with a karashishi beside rockwork, within a border of sprays of prunus, peonies, chrysanthemums and daisies, the exterior with similar flower sprays above brocade balls and scrolling karakusa -- 17in. (43.2cm.) diam, pierced wood stand carved with chrysanthemums and leaves.
