A Chinese blue and white candle holder
made for the Islamic market, with flaring foot and srip pan, painted with four roundels of Persian script reading 'Nour' (light), Be Nour (to light), Al Ghalb (Heart) and Al Halmata, above a band of ruyi heads and on scattered geometric motif grounds -- 6in. (15.2cms) diam, Zhengde six character mark and of the period, (rim chip, foot damaged, pricket missing).
