Hazel Hall appears to have been born circa 1910, as the first documents relating to her are from 1924, when she was studying music. In the 1930s she was a 'violiniste and sourbrette', only gaining her qualifications as a magician in 1950. In the early 1950s she was performing as a ventriloquist.
Hazel Hall married a fellow magician, who operated under the name Wally Shakespeare and who was Vice President of the Institute of Magician. They never achieved fame, seemingly appearing mainly in seaside entertainments, primarily for children. Still active in the 1970s, she died in 1993.
