The sword is seen in several key scenes throughout Highlander, most notably when Ramerez (Sean Connery) teaches MacLeod (Christopher Lambert) his potential powers as an immortal, and again when Ramerez battles with the evil Kurgan and is destroyed by him allowing the sword which initially belonged to Ramerez to pass to MacLeod. The sword is then seen throughout Highlander II and Highlander III.
