The first in three stages with bulbous muzzle bearing a silver double fore-sight, the central section of hog's back form, the octagonal breech struck with a mark within a circular pearled border and with standing single-aperture back-sight; the second also in three stages, with fluted swamped muzzle, inlaid with brass almost throughout its length, and with tubular back-sight in the form of a miniature gun barrel
