An Unusual 12-Bore Flintlock Rifle

With rebrowned twist sighted barrel signed in full in gothic script at the breech and rifled with eight grooves, patent recessed breech (pitted) with three gold lines and engraved with a skull and cross bones and a boar's head, platinum-lined touch-hole, tang engraved with a tiger-mask, signed engraved square-tailed lock with roller and gold-lined pan, figured walnut full stock (bruised, and repaired at the fore-end and in front of the lock), chequered grip, brass mounts including trigger-guard and butt-plate engraved with a stag, and hinged patch-box cover engraved with a bear, iron sling loops (replaced), and stirrup ramrod, London proof marks
