No. 1070, circa 1865
With blued octagonal sighted barrel stamped 'Merwin & Bray. New-York.' on the left side and with the maker's name and address on the sighting rib, blued cylinder stamped 'Patented July 12. 1859 & July 21. 1863', silvered brass frame with sighting groove and ejector-rod, spur trigger, varnished walnut grips, matching numbers, and most of its original silvered finish
