Converted from flintlock, with heavy rebrowned twist octagonal sighted barrels (one breech pitted), case-hardened patent breeches each with platinum line, platinum-lined maker's stamp (one lining missing), and pierced platinum plug, engraved case-hardened tangs incorporating the back-sight, signed scroll engraved case-hardened detented locks each with blued safety-catch, the hammers each with detachable nose (one hammer retaining screw replaced), figured walnut half-stocks, chequered butts, finely engraved blued iron mounts, silver escutcheons and barrel-bolt escutcheons, horn fore-end caps, horn-tipped ramrods, and some original finish: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with some accessories, the lid with trade label, flush-fitting carrying handle, and brass escutcheon, the barrels forged by Charles Lancaster
