An 80-Bore Over-And-Under Percussion Pocket Pistol

Converted from flintlock, with octagonal barrels, the upper barrel retaining traces of original blued finish, signed in gold and with silver fore-sight, the lower barrel inscribed 'No. 1 Piccadilly London' and with two gold breech lines, engraved tang incorporating the back-sight, signed and engraved locks each with safety-catch and external mainspring, engraved hammers signed 'Pirko Wien', chequered figured walnut butt, engraved silver trigger-guard and pommel (cap replaced), gold escutcheon engraved with crest and coronet, and original iron ramrod

The crest appears to be that of Field Marshal Lord FitzRoy James Henry Somerset (1788-1855), seventh son of the 5th Duke of Beaufort, who was created Baron Raglan in 1852
