With two-stage barrel with a ring at the muzzle, decorated with punched and gilt scrollwork and foliage involving a fleur-de-lys, originally on a blued ground, engraved tang, signed flat bevelled lock with engraved cock and engraved stepped tail, chiselled and gilt cock retaining screw, moulded figured walnut full stock carved in relief behind the barrel tang and rear ramrod-pipe, full silver mounts including shaped side-plate cast and chased with rococo ornament in relief against a punched ground, eagle-head pommel, and iron-tipped ramrod
