A Composite North Italian Half-Armour Of 'Pisan' Type
Late 16th Century
Comprising one-piece 'Spanish' morion with prominent peak, brim curving upward and pointed at front and rear, and brass shield-shaped plume-holder, gorget, cuirass with peasecod breast-plate with hinged lance rest, laminated tassets, full pauldrons, the left one pierced for a threaded collar (missing) for the attachment of a tilting reinforce, full vambraces, and fingered gauntlets (not a pair, fingers missing, the right one damaged), etched throughout with bands of trophies, figures and foliage against a granular ground (some plates replaced)
