An ivory and gold lacquer shibayama style rectangular cardcase
decorated in hiramakie, takamakie and nashiji, and applied in mother-of-pearl, coral and hardstone with birds, butterflies and insects in flight around a large jardiniere of flowers on stand, the reverse with a blossoming tree in a landscape scene before Mount Fuji with further birds and insects -- 4 5/8in. (11.8cm) high, (slight rubbing).
