A VERY RARE WHITE JADE, GILT-BRONZE AND CLOISONNE ENAMEL PAGODA

The even white jade cylindrical column to the centre carved and reticulated with figures beside river banks in a mountainous setting below trees, surrounded by six bronze pillars, each surrounded by a coiled gilt bronze dragon, supporting a hexagonal domed roof with sea shells emerging from cresting and rolling waves below a double tiered pagoda finial, with bells dangling from dragon terminals at the roofs corners, supported on a fenced platform cast with wan emblems above a waisted cloisonne base decorated with bands of ruyi lappets and stylized flowers (minor looses to enamel)--16in. (40.7cm.) high
