The stone of translucent mottled white tone with inclusions cleverly incorporated into the carving to depict a peony sprig to the interior and the eight Buddhist emblems to the exterior loosely arranged in clusters, the ring foot with bevelled sides incised with diaper and key-fret borders--5 3/8in. (13.6cm.) diam.
