A LARGE WHITE JADE MARRIAGE BOWL
18TH/19TH CENTURY
Carved in relief to the centre of the interior with a full-faced dragon leaping out of swirling waves in pursuit of the flaming pearl, the exterior carved in low relief with numerous bats in flight amid scrolling clouds, flanked by a pair of winged dragon-head handles suspending loose rings, all resting on four stylized ruyi-head feet, the stone of pale celadon colour with some russet inclusions and opaque white mottling (one loose ring repaired)--10 1/4in.
