cover 1872 (29 June) blue wrapper addressed to Lyon "via Brindisi" bearing 30c. mauve which has not been cancelled, rated "1/3" which has been crossed through, straight line "INSUFFICIENTLY PREPAID.." in bluish, handstruck "15" (decimes) and "GB/1F66C" accountancy mark, reverse shows Shanghae (blue), Hong Kong and Lyon c.d.s. Note: The accountancy handstamps were in use until 1875, however, Webb states that the Convention was more honoured in the breach than in the observance. It is rare to find a cover with an adhesive which has not been accepted for postage.
