The rectangular top finely inlaid with mother-of-pearl, stained ivory and agate carvings to depict four tree-peony branches springing up form rockwork amid birds and phoenix in flight, surrounded by a lotus-scroll border, the slightly curved legs connected by shaped aprons with lion masks at the corners (age cracks, several infilled, minor repairs)
