Each finely cast elephant with head turned to one side, wearing elaborate harnesses studded with coral and turquoise cabochons, the saddle above a long tassled blanket decorated with precious objects and a bat in flight, supporting a vase on a lotus pedestal stand, the elephant standing atop a detachable waisted stand finely worked with shou characters and bats in flight between lotus-lappet and key- fret borders, below a pierced balustrade (section of balustrade cracked, one ear repaired)
