A BLUE AND WHITE MOON FLASK
QIANLONG SEAL MARK AND OF THE PERIOD

The flattened body moulded on each side with a peach-form panel painted in the fifteenth century style with two bats in flight around a fruiting peach branch, surrounded by lotus meander above a narrow band of classic scroll on the flared, rectangular foot, with a band of lingzhi scroll on the narrow sides repeated below the everted rim, the lotus scroll and trefoil bands on the neck interrupted by the ruyi sceptre handles (restored rim chips and associated hairline) 9 3/4in. (25cm.) high
