The recumbent horse carved in the round with its head turned sharply to the rear, haunches raised and tail swishing to the right, the mane and tail lightly incised with naturalistic markings, the left foreleg bent at the knee, the underside deeply carved to show the legs and hoofs, the stone of yellow tone with extensive pale and russet brown inclusions
