The only recorded example of the Kiung-Chow oval on cover
cover 1884 (22 Sep.) 1c. stationery card addressed to Hong Kong cancelled by a neat, light strike of the oval Kiung-Chow oval (code letter A and 22 of date both inverted) overstruck by Hong Kong c.d.s.; there is a second strike of the oval on reverse. Fresh and very fine. This is one of the major discoveries of Hong Kong philately made in recent years and is an exhibition item of the highest standard. Photo in colour
