cover 1896 "PURE MILK" wrapper (part of back possibly foreshortened) from Great Britain to the French Legation, Peking (4.12 arrival) bearing G.B. ½d. cancelled by barred obliterator with Dowager 2ca. applied on arrival in China and cancelled by Tientsin seal in blue, showing "CUSTOMS/TIENTSIN" c.d.s. (2.96) in red adjacent. Very fine. An extraordinary usage and rate of the Dowager stamps on incoming mail. Photo in colour
