A VERY LARGE GILT-COPPER PALACE INCENSE BURNER AND COVER QIANLONG

The deep burner raised on three scrolling cabriole legs with acanthus motifs and applied with two mask handles suspending loose rings, the wide everted foliate rim supporting the triple-domed pierced cover surmounted by a bud finial, the burner worked in medium relief on a stippled ground with continuous panels of scrolling lotus containing twin-fish motifs suspended from bats and chilong on a diaper ground, the rim with key-pattern and a continuous lotus meander, the cover with pierced panels of scrolling foliage reserved on a continuous composite floral meander
